The HTC Burlingamers is a local parent group that cultivates a healthy, caring community in the age of technology. Ridwell sign-up deadline is 12/15!!

Franklin is partnering with Ridwell to keep plastic film out of our landfills! Bring your plastic film to drop-off on Friday mornings (between 10/18-11/12) to be collected by Ridwell on 11/12!
 
And, if 10 families sign up for Ridwell doorstep pickup using the link https://get.ridwell.com/franklin-elementary by December 15, 2024, Franklin earns plastic film pickup January through June 2024! 
 
When 20 join, Franklin earns a field trip to the Ridwell warehouse. See flyers and/or reach out to thekathytsai@gmail.com for more information.

Donations for Gardening Lesson

We’re excited to announce that as part of our upcoming Science Expo—in collaboration with Science from Scientists and UCSF—we’ll be hosting a gardening project to inspire hands-on learning and a love for nature.

To make this project a blooming success, we’re asking for gardening supply donations. If you’re able, please consider contributing:
ðŸŒą Small/kids shovels
ðŸŠī Soil bags
ðŸŒŧ Flower or veggie seeds
ðŸŒŋ Small plastic/planting pots
🌷 Perennial plants or succulents
ðŸĨ• Veggie sprouts

Donations can be dropped off at YELLOW ZONE by MARCH 28th.

Science Expo CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

On April 15th (8:30am-2pm) we will be hosting Franklin's first ever SCIENCE EXPO! Sponsored by the PTA, this school-wide science day will feature experiments, lessons from actual scientists, and fun for all our Falcons! We need your help to make this event a success! As we return for the 2024-2025 school year, the PTA is excited for all of the fun events and activities ahead! To make them happen, we need everyone in the community to get involved. To get started, we're asking everyone for 3 things:

 

 

1. Sign up to volunteer

Our events only happen if we have volunteers! It's a fun, rewarding way to connect with your kids, meet new people, and help your community. Events throughout the year include Drive-in Movie Night, Math Mondays,  Family Dance, Science Fair, and Book Fair.

Please join the PTA to have a voice in how we support the community! Everyone is welcome to join our monthly meetings, but only members are eligible to vote.
